Theoretically speaking, most of the patients can be healed after 90 days, but whether it can be healed is also related to the degree of fracture damage, the patient’s age, the treatment method and other factors. 1. Conservative treatment: For some patients with non-displaced femoral neck fracture and those who are physically unable to tolerate surgery, conservative treatment can be adopted, which requires absolute bed rest, anti-spinning shoes, and continuous traction treatment of the lower limbs for 6~8 weeks. If the fracture break grows normally, it can gradually heal after 90 days until recovery. If there is delayed healing of the fracture or even necrosis of the femoral head, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. 2. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment includes incision and reduction internal fixation, artificial hip replacement and other surgical methods. After conventional internal fixation surgery, after a period of nursing care and functional exercise, most patients can have their fracture healed in about 3 months, and gradually recover to normal walking. However, since most of the femoral neck fracture are mostly elderly patients with osteoporosis and calcium loss, and the blood supply to the femoral neck and femoral head is very special, the healing time may be prolonged compared with the general patients and other parts of the body.
