What to look for in a prostate exam

The most important thing to note about prostate examination is as follows: 1. When performing a prostate ultrasound, it is best for the patient to hold his urine for the examination, as the bladder is easier to distinguish the location of the prostate tissue and organs, and whether there are related lesions in the bladder. If there is a lot of stool in the rectum, it may affect the examination of the prostate; 3. Before the examination, you need to clean the external genital area, because the examination requires full exposure of the external genital area, perineum and perianal area. If this is not done, it may cause artificial contamination during the examination; 4. Especially for men aged >50 years, prostate-specific antigen testing is routinely required to screen for the possibility of prostate cancer.
