What to do about hardened pimples

Hard lumps of acne may be related to acne, folliculitis, boils, sebaceous cysts, etc. They need to be treated for the cause and involve treatments such as maintaining hygiene, using medications (mupirocin ointment, etc.), and surgical management.
1. Acne: Nodules may have formed and painful and hard lumps may appear on the surface of the skin, which is a more severe form of acne. Medications such as tazarotene cream, adapalene gel, azelaic acid cream, etc. can be applied, along with oral viamin, etc. Red and blue light irradiation can also be used to relieve inflammation.
2. Folliculitis: the skin will appear red, swollen and raised small hard lumps, with hair through the top, and yellow pus spots. Apply erythromycin ointment, fusidic acid cream and other antibiotic medication locally to treat the condition and avoid squeezing.
3. Boils: The skin will appear raised and painful. You need to use ichthyol ointment, mupirocin ointment and other drugs, and if necessary, surgical excision treatment.
4. Sebaceous cysts: the skin will be raised and relatively hard to the touch, and there may be white black spots or black holes in the center. Sebaceous cysts can be removed through surgery.
It is recommended that patients go to the dermatology department in time for examination, to clarify the cause of the disease, and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, do not self-medication.
