The mask contains chemicals, so it can cause burns to the mucous membrane tissue of the eyes, resulting in spicy eye symptoms. Because the conjunctival tissue is a relatively tender tissue, it is not able to withstand the stimulation of chemicals. So if this happens, first remove the mask and then rinse your eyes with water, taking care to rotate your eyeballs during the rinsing process to rinse them as well as possible. With this treatment, the symptoms should soon return to normal. If, after rinsing, the eyes still have mild redness or irritation such as itchy eyes, antibiotic drops can be used. For example, levofloxacin hydrochloride eye drops reduce irritation and prevent local infection from occurring, but do not use them for too long; recovery is generally recommended within 3 days.
