What to eat for pneumoconiosis

Food is not a cure for pneumoconiosis and can only serve the purpose of supplementation. The treatment of pneumoconiosis is mainly through drugs (asthma, expectorant, cough suppressant, anti-fiber, etc.) and oxygen therapy, etc. to improve the symptoms and slow down the progress of the disease. 1. Asthma treatment: β₂ agonists, such as salbutamol aerosol, can be used to expand airways, and theophylline drugs, such as aminophylline, doxophylline, etc., can be used to calm asthma. 2. Expectorant treatment: bromhexine, ambroxol and other drugs can be used to reduce the viscosity of sputum. 3. Cough suppressant treatment: codeine, dextromethorphan, nalcodone and other drugs can be used to suppress cough. 4. Anti-fibrotic treatment: by preventing respiratory infections and actively treating them, and changing bad living habits, the rapid development of pulmonary fibrosis can be slowed down. Anti-fibrotic treatment can also be given, such as hanfenacin and pirfenidone. 5. Oxygen therapy: increase the concentration of inhaled oxygen, promote the diffusion of oxygen, so as to increase the partial pressure of arterial blood oxygen and oxygen saturation, and improve the oxygen supply of organs in the whole body. Pneumoconiosis patients should have a light diet, supplement high quality protein, and avoid fatty and pickled food. If diagnosed with pneumoconiosis, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
