If a patient has a protruding clavicle, the causes may be as follows: 1. the patient has a subcutaneous cyst in the clavicle, which produces a protrusion; 2. because the patient’s clavicle is easily accessible under the skin, a clavicle fracture can easily occur after a direct external force, and if the patient has a clavicle fracture, the fracture end has an angular deformity and a local hematoma, which can produce a protrusion. If a patient has a clavicle fracture with angular deformity and localized hematoma, the clavicle fracture can be protruded and a clear diagnosis can be made by taking an X-ray of the clavicle.
