What’s going on with the right leg and buttock pain?

There are many reasons for right leg pain and buttock pain, and the common ones are lumbar disc herniation, pyriformis syndrome, iliotibial bundle syndrome and so on.
1. Lumbar disc herniation: due to the degeneration of lumbar intervertebral disc, fibrous ring rupture, nucleus pulposus protrudes or prolapses to stimulate or compress the right peripheral nerves, cauda equina nerve root and so on, lumbar pain, right leg pain and buttock pain, often accompanied by the lower limb weakness and numbness and other symptoms.
2. Piriformis syndrome: if the right sciatic nerve is compressed in the buttock, it may cause right buttock pain and lower limb radiating pain.
3. Iliotibial Bundle Syndrome: If the right knee joint is repeatedly extended and repetitively rubbed within a certain range, aseptic inflammation will be produced, which usually occurs after strenuous exercise, and there can be knee joint soreness and pain in the early stage, and some patients can have right leg pain and buttock pain symptoms.
Right leg pain and buttock pain may have other causes such as lumbar spinal stenosis, growing pains and so on, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for active treatment.
