What to check for in preparation for pregnancy

The pregnancy preparation program is divided into men and women. Women have ultrasound and leukorrhea tests in addition to routine tests. For men, there are urinary system examination and semen examination. 1. Examination items for women preparing for pregnancy (1) Blood routine and blood biochemistry: mainly check whether women have anemia, infection, diabetes and other diseases. (2) Thyroid function test: If the thyroid function is hypothyroid or hyperthyroid, it needs to be treated in time to keep the thyroid function in the normal range, so as not to cause miscarriage or fetal abnormality. (3) Ultrasonography: to determine whether the uterus and fallopian tubes are developing normally. (4) Leukorrhea examination: to determine whether there is mycoplasma or chlamydia infection and whether there is vaginal inflammation. 2. Examination program for men when preparing for pregnancy (1) Urinary system examination: examine the prostate, penis and other reproductive organs of male patients to determine whether there are any reproductive system diseases. (2) Semen examination: routine sperm tests to determine the activity rate and survival rate of sperm, and whether they can meet the requirements for pregnancy. If there is a history of previous bad pregnancy, both spouses should also be tested for chromosomes to determine whether there are any chromosomal and immune system abnormalities. In addition, women who are preparing for pregnancy need to take folic acid, which can prevent fetal neurological malformations, and is recommended to start taking it in the first trimester of pregnancy and continue to take it until the end of the third trimester.
