Blepharitis is also known as blepharitis. Children with blepharitis can be treated with tobramycin eye ointment or surgery as prescribed by the doctor, but it is not recommended to treat the condition at home, as it may worsen the condition. Blepharitis is an acute purulent inflammation of the glands of the eyelids, commonly caused by staphylococcus bacteria, and children may experience redness, swelling, pain, and conjunctival congestion of the eyelids. In the early stages of inflammation, children can use localized hot compresses on the eyelids to promote the inflammation to subside. Tobramycin eye drops or ointment can also be used to control the inflammation and promote recovery. If an abscess develops on the eyelid, the child can be treated with surgery, such as incision and drainage of the abscess. However, it is not recommended that parents treat the child at home, as it may aggravate the condition. Children should avoid squeezing the abscess, as this may cause the infection to spread. It is recommended that children with blepharitis be seen in the hospital for evaluation of the condition and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
