Causes of Cancer in Balsams

There is no authoritative information to show that the aromatic herbs can cause cancer. The aromatic herbs have the effects of detoxifying the liver and relieving depression (treating depression by unblocking the liver’s qi), regulating the qi and broadening the middle (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach), and regulating menstruation and relieving pain (regulating menstruation and relieving the pain of menstruation), and it is recommended to use them under the guidance of a doctor. Xiangshu is the rhizome of Salvia officinalis, family Salviaceae. It is flat in nature, pungent, sweet and slightly bitter in taste, with the efficacy of dispersing the liver and relieving depression, regulating qi and relaxing the middle, regulating menstruation and relieving pain. It is mostly used in treating liver depression and stagnation of qi (poor transport of qi and blood in the liver and depression of emotion and mood), distension of the chest and hypochondrium (the areas of the chest and ribs collectively known as the chest and ribcage), pain in hernia, distension and pain in the breast, stagnation of qi in spleen and stomach, plumping of the epigastric region (the abdomen), distension and pain, menstrual irregularities, menstrual pain in menstrual closure. Note that Qi deficiency without Qi stagnation, Yin deficiency and blood heat are seen in night sweats (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, sweating stops after waking up), and heat in the hands, feet and heart, etc. Use with caution. Toxicology studies have shown that fragrant herbs are less toxic and generally do not cause cancer when used within prescribed doses. If you are going to use balsam, it is recommended that you ask your doctor and use it as prescribed.
