Lutong, Pueraria Mirifica, and Stiffener can be used for stroke, not limited to two herbs. Lutong has the efficacy of inducing diuresis, dispelling wind and activating collaterals, and promoting menstruation. It can be used for stroke hemiplegia (one side of the limb cannot move freely), numbness and constriction, rheumatism and paralysis; breast milk is not passed, and there is little breast milk; oedema and distension, and menstrual closure. This product is contraindicated in pregnant women, menorrhagia should not be, adverse reactions are not clear. Pueraria Mirifica has the effects of generating fluids to quench thirst (promoting fluid production to relieve thirst), elevating yang to stop diarrhea (elevating yang qi to treat diarrhea), relieving muscle heat (relieving heat from the surface of the skin), and invigorating the meridians and collaterals, etc. It can be used for hemiplegia, dizziness and headache, chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest) and heart pain; impenetrability of measles; and strong pain in the neck and back. The contraindications and adverse reactions of this product are not clear. Stiff silkworm has the efficacy of dispelling wind and relieving pain (dissipating wind evil, relieving musculoskeletal pain), restraining wind and relieving spasm, resolving phlegm and dispersing knots, which can be used for stroke with awry mouth and eyes; liver wind and phlegm, children’s panic, convulsions of eclampsia, tetanus; hairy cheeks, mumps, scrofula (mainly refers to the tuberculosis of lymph nodes of the neck), phlegm and nucleus (the subcutaneous swelling of the nucleus of the nodule), and so on.
