Incisors without nerve can last for several years

Incisors without nerve can last 5-10 years. After root canal treatment, incisors lose the nutrient supply and water from the pulp, the color will gradually darken and dull, and the tooth tissue will gradually become brittle. If the open pulp site of the incisor is located in the lingual fossa and does not affect the complete structure of the tooth, it can be used for about 10 years. If the incisors are missing more than 1/3 of their area, they are highly susceptible to disintegration and fracture because they often cut and tear food and are subjected to higher biting forces, and their service life is about 5 years. In order to prolong the use of incisors and improve their appearance, all-porcelain or porcelain crown restorations can be made after tooth preparation and, if necessary, fiber piles can be placed in the root canal to enhance resistance.
