White and greasy moss can be treated with Xiao Qing Long Combination, Bao He Pill, Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu San, etc., and the medications used vary according to the cause of the disease. White and greasy moss can be seen in phlegm-drinking (pathological products formed by water-liquid metabolism disorders) syndrome, food accumulation (indigestion of food and its accumulation in the stomach) syndrome, and dampness and turbidity internal stagnation syndrome, and so on. Xiao Qing Long Combination: composed of ephedra, cinnamon sticks, white peony, dry ginger, fine pungent and roasted licorice, etc. It has the effects of relieving surface and resolving watery drinks, relieving cough and calming asthma (stopping cough and calming wheezing). It is used in treating wind-cold and watery drinks, malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever, no sweating, wheezing and coughing with scanty phlegm. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear. 2. Baohe Pill: It is composed of hawthorn, Liushenqu and Semixia, etc. It has the efficacy of eliminating food stagnation, inducing stagnation and harmonizing the stomach. It is used for stagnation of food accumulation, distension and fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), belching and swallowing of acid (swallowing the acid in the stomach that goes up to the oropharynx), and not wanting to eat and drink. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear. 3. Ginseng and Atractylodes Macrocephalae: composed of ginseng, poria, atractylodes macrocephalae, and Chinese yam, etc. It has the effect of tonifying the spleen and stomach and benefiting the lungs and qi. It is used for weak spleen and stomach, loose stool (thin and unformed feces), shortness of breath and cough, tiredness and fatigue.
