What causes frequent eyelid fluttering?

Patients with frequent eyelid jumping may be caused by visual fatigue, neurological disorders, eye diseases and so on.
1. Visual fatigue: when patients look at computer screens, cell phones and other electronic products for a long time for too long, it may lead to overuse of the eyes causing visual fatigue, which may make the eyelids weak and involuntarily throbbing frequently.
2. Neurological diseases: when patients have tumor compression of nerves, peripheral nervous system lesions, facial nerve palsy and other diseases, they may have paralysis of half of the face or have the symptoms of tilted mouth, hemifacial spasms, frequent eyelid fluttering and blurred vision.
3. Eye diseases: Common eye diseases include inverted eyelashes, conjunctivitis, keratitis, erysipelas, etc. Such diseases act on the nerve endings and may also cause frequent eyelid fluttering.
