Gastric ulcer symptoms have similarities with duodenal ulcer, gastric cancer and erosive gastritis.
1. Duodenal ulcer: both of them are caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, and abdominal pain symptoms appear. However, duodenal ulcer is more common in young adults, the pain is on the right side of the epigastric region, and it is night pain or connecting, which is relieved after eating. Gastric ulcer is mostly seen in middle-aged and old-aged people, and the pain site is in the upper abdomen or under the rapier, which is aggravated after eating.
2. Gastric cancer: Gastric cancer is malignant gastric ulcer, which has similar symptoms with benign gastric ulcer, manifesting as abdominal pain and discomfort, and may cause bleeding, obstruction or perforation. Gastric ulcer is mostly about one hour pain after eating, which will be relieved after one to two hours, but the pain of gastric cancer is irregular and gradually aggravated.
3. Epicritic gastritis: besides the abdominal pain and discomfort similar to gastric ulcer, erosive gastritis also has intermittent bleeding symptoms in digestive tract, such as vomiting blood and black stool.
The above three diseases have similar symptoms with gastric ulcer, and it is difficult to distinguish them only by symptoms, so it is necessary to have further examination through gastroscopy to clarify the cause of the disease and then treat it under the guidance of the doctor.
