How many days to fast for bleeding duodenal bulb ulcers

Bleeding duodenal bulb ulcers generally require fasting for 24 hours, after which the time for resumption of diet should be determined on an individual basis. The occurrence of duodenal bulb ulcers, and bleeding tendency, generally require fasting for 24 hours, if there is no bleeding tendency after 24 hours, normal diet can be gradually resumed; if bleeding is still occurring after 24 hours, and accompanied by abdominal pain, it is not recommended to eat within a short period of time, and need to prolong the duration of fasting. In patients with bleeding duodenal bulb ulcers who are unable to eat, nutritional support by intravenous drip is generally recommended. When bleeding duodenal bulb ulcer is detected, no strenuous exercise should be performed in the short term to avoid increasing the amount of bleeding and causing ischemic shock. During this period, regular review should be conducted and the treatment program should be adjusted appropriately according to the recovery of the condition.
