What does an anterior-posterior oblique position of the sacroiliac joint mean?

Sacroiliac anterior-posterior oblique position is the meaning of a projection position for taking radiographs of the sacroiliac joints.
The examinee lies supine on the camera table, the hip of the examined side is elevated in an anterior-posterior oblique position, the coronal plane of the body makes an angle of 25°~30° with the table surface, the sacroiliac joints coincide with the center line of the camera table and the support is padded behind the back to maintain the posture, the lower limbs of the non-examined side are flexed to keep the body stable, and the center line is vertically projected into the detecting rays through the upper edge of the superior margin of the anterior iliac spine at a point of 2.5cm medially.
Different projection positions can observe the sacroiliac joints in a wide range, and special positions can also observe lesions that are not easy to detect.
X-ray radiography should be performed under the guidance of a specialized physician.
