What are the ultrasound manifestations of early cirrhosis

Early cirrhosis ultrasound usually shows liver size change, nodular liver surface, enhanced liver echogenicity, abnormal hepatic venous system and so on.
1. Liver size change: early cirrhosis ultrasound can see the liver volume slightly increased, thickening of hepatic peritoneum, the surface is not smooth, the right lobe of the liver shrinks, and the left lobe of the liver is compensatory hypertrophy and so on.
2. Liver surface is nodular: ultrasound can see nodular and denticulate material on the surface of liver, and the surface of liver is uneven.
3. Enhanced hepatic echogenicity: diffuse enhancement and coarsening of hepatic echogenicity, the enhanced echogenicity can be striated and reticulated, and the distribution is not uniform.
4. Abnormalities of hepatic venous system: ultrasound can not clearly visualize the hepatic veins, and the portal vein can be seen to be dilated, the blood flow rate can be reduced, and the blood flow can be reversed.
Early cirrhosis can not always be detected accurately by ultrasound, it is recommended to improve the relevant examinations under the guidance of doctors for clear diagnosis and treatment.
