What foods can cause liver cancer?

Marinated, grilled and fried foods and alcohol have all been judged by the WHO to be class 1 carcinogens, that is, substances that have a definite carcinogenic effect on humans and can cause liver cancer to develop.

Consumption of more than 10 grams of alcohol per day (about the alcohol content of one 330 ml can of beer, one and a half red wine, or half a bottle of white wine) increases the risk of liver cancer.

Also processed meats are class 2A carcinogens, which are likely to be carcinogenic to humans. Studies have found that regular consumption of processed meats can increase the risk of liver cancer and should also be avoided or reduced.

In addition, obesity increases the risk of liver cancer, so it’s important to maintain a healthy weight in combination with healthy eating and exercise.
