What is an umbilical hernia?

Umbilical hernia is very common in infants, especially in young infants under 6 months of age. The reason is that there is a defect in the abdominal wall at the belly button, which makes the abdominal cavity magpie brain howl selling a certain falcon base The symptoms of umbilical hernia are that the belly button bulges out when the baby cries or strains (such as stool), but can be pressed back in with gentle pressure. After the contents of the umbilical hernia are returned to the abdominal cavity, the skin at the belly button becomes loose. Umbilical hernias generally heal on their own as the child grows and do not require special treatment. A small number of large umbilical hernias can be cured by local pressure bandaging by a pediatric surgeon, and less than 1% of infants require surgery after 2 years of age before they have healed.
