How many days does a child with high C-reactive protein fever clear up?

High C-reactive protein fever in children may take 3 to 5 days if caused by a viral infection, or 7 to 10 days if caused by a bacterial infection, depending on the circumstances.
C-reactive protein is an acute time-phase reactive protein, and the presence of an increase suggests inflammation, which can be caused by either viral or bacterial infections.
1. Viral infection. Viral infections are self-limiting. Viral infections cause fever due to increased C-reactive protein, which lasts for 3 to 5 days.
2. Bacterial infection. Mild bacterial infections can be actively treated with antibiotics, and most of the time the temperature will normalize within a week. If it is a serious bacterial infection fever, it may last for 7~10 days.
If you find children with high C-reactive protein, you must go to the hospital in time to get a clear diagnosis and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.
