Is erosive gastritis a gastric ulcer?

Celiac gastritis is not a gastric ulcer. There are differences between the two in terms of concept, symptoms and prognosis: First, the concept is different. Celiac gastritis refers to acute gastritis characterized by gastric mucosal erosion and bleeding, with inflammatory cell infiltration of the gastric mucosa as the main feature, while gastric ulcer refers to an ulcer caused by the gastric mucosa being digested by itself. The symptoms are different. Acute erosive gastritis is characterized by severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood and black stools, while chronic gastritis with erosion is not obvious and is mainly associated with upper abdominal discomfort, and gastric ulcer is characterized by upper abdominal pain and can be accompanied by complications such as gastric bleeding, gastric perforation, pyloric obstruction and cancer. The prognosis is different, relatively speaking, gastric ulcer is more serious, erosive gastritis has a better prognosis and can recover after active treatment, while gastric ulcer has a worse prognosis and can easily become cancerous.
