Age of onset of genetic diabetes

Inherited diabetes is now mainly referred to as type 2 diabetes. The genetic predisposition for type 1 diabetes is not particularly pronounced, but the age of onset of type 2 diabetes is becoming younger and younger, and is seen in children over the age of 10. The onset of the disease has a lot to do with the genetic predisposition to diabetes and a poor lifestyle, and if the child is obese from an early age, the onset of the disease will be very early. Therefore, for patients with a clear family history of type 2 diabetes, they should pay attention to diet control, proper exercise, eating more vegetables and regular blood sugar monitoring from an early age, which can significantly reduce the possibility of diabetes onset.
