There is no such thing as what medication works best for rheumatoid arthritis. Commonly used drugs are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-rheumatic drugs, glucocorticoids and so on.
1. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, can make the joint swelling, pain and rapid relief, the common drugs are celecoxib, indomethacin and so on.
2. Anti-rheumatic drugs: these drugs are the most fundamental and basic drugs for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and the common traditional drugs include methotrexate, cyclophosphamide, and salicylazosulfapyridine; at present, there are also biologics, such as infliximab and tolizumab.
3. Glucocorticoid drugs: these drugs have significant effect on patients to improve inflammation and fever, swelling, common drugs are dexamethasone, prednisone acetate tablets.
