Can electronic nasopharyngoscopy detect nasopharyngeal cancer?

Electronic nasopharyngoscopy can detect whether there is a mass in the nasopharynx, but whether it is nasopharyngeal cancer or not requires a biopsy of the nasopharyngeal mass under nasal endoscopy, and ultimately relies on pathology to confirm the diagnosis. Therefore, examination is the clue of discovery, and confirmation of diagnosis is based on the clue of further examination. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant tumor located in nasopharynx, with obvious geographic characteristics, as well as obvious familial tendency, mostly related to EBV, which can cause enlarged cervical lymph nodes, retracted nasal mucus with blood, headache, loss of vision, strabismus and so on. Radiation therapy is preferred for treatment, which can be supplemented with chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine. For recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma, some patients can be considered for surgical treatment.
