Labyrinthitis mainly manifests as vertigo, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, hearing loss and other symptoms. The disease can be categorized into limited, plasmacytoid and septic labyrinthitis, and the clinical manifestations of different types can be slightly different. 1. Restricted labyrinthitis: paroxysmal or secondary vertigo may occur. When digging the ears or blowing the nose, the pressure on the ear canal may induce transient vertigo. Patients may occasionally experience nausea and vomiting, which may be accompanied by moderate hearing loss. 2. Plasmacytoid labyrinthitis: Vertigo and balance disorders are more obvious and can be persistent, with obvious nausea, vomiting, and rapid hearing loss in the affected ear, which can be accompanied by tinnitus, ringing, and double hearing, and hearing can usually be restored to normal if timely and effective treatment is given. 3. Suppurative labyrinthitis: It is characterized by persistent, severe vertigo, accompanied by paroxysmal, severe nausea and vomiting, rapid hearing loss, and usually accompanied by persistent high-frequency tinnitus. Patients with the above symptoms, suspect the existence of labyrinthitis, should promptly seek medical treatment to improve the relevant examinations, such as audiological examination, fistula test, mastoid CT, etc., so as to clarify the diagnosis of the disease, and follow the doctor’s instructions for appropriate treatment.
