“Tangerine peel” is “Chenpi”; Chenpi cannot cure insomnia. Chenpi is a traditional Chinese medicine, which is the dried and matured fruit peel of the citrus plant tangerine. It has the effects of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating qi and strengthening the spleen), and drying dampness and resolving phlegm (removing phlegm in the body with dampness-drying medicines). It is used for chest fullness (distension and discomfort in the chest), vomiting and diarrhea, and cough. Clinically, Chen Pi is used together with Cang Zhu and Hou Pu to treat stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea. Chenpi is also used with hawthorn and shenqu to treat food stagnation (indigestion of food and its accumulation in the stomach), gas stagnation, and epigastric (abdominal) distension and pain; Chenpi is also used with Codonopsis, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria to treat spleen deficiency and gas stagnation, lack of food and drink, and loose stools (thin, unformed feces) with a pale tongue; Chenpi is also used with ginger, bamboo and jujubes to treat vomiting and eructations (hiccups). Chenpi adverse reactions, contraindications, precautions are not yet clear. From the efficacy and action of Chen Pi, this product does not have the role of treatment of insomnia, if there is a need for insomnia treatment, should be under the guidance of a physician according to the cause of the symptomatic treatment.
