What to do about vulvar pustules

Vulvar pustules may be caused by folliculitis, boils, vestibulitis, etc. It is recommended to choose the treatment according to the different causes of the disease, and the common methods include medication and surgery.
1. Folliculitis: Folliculitis is a more serious infection, and suppuration may occur when it is not effectively controlled. Incision and drainage can be performed under sterilized and aseptic conditions to drain the pus.
2. Boils: Acute suppurative lesions localized to the vulvar hair follicles caused by pathogenic bacteria attacking individual hair follicles and their surrounding tissues. Usually, after the swelling ruptures and pus flows out, it can subside and heal.
If the pus is not naturally ruptured, affecting normal life, you can use antibiotic drugs, such as penicillin, cefoperazone, erythromycin, etc., for anti-infection treatment. If the pus has broken out in the advanced stage, you can consider incision and drainage treatment.
3. Vestibular adenitis: It is an inflammatory disease caused by pathogens invading the vestibular gland, and the patient has redness and swelling of the vulva, fever, and may have abscess formation. In the case of vestibular gland abscess, early incision and drainage is needed to relieve pain.
Vulvar abscesses can also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended to go to the hospital, complete the relevant examinations, under the guidance of a professional doctor to determine the cause of the disease, and carry out targeted treatment.
