There is no evidence that daily bathing is good for health.
On the one hand, bathing removes dirt and sweat from the body and also removes body odor. On the other hand, coming back to the shower after a night out can also reduce the number of viruses carried on the body.
However, on the other hand, bathing in the wrong way and too often not only fails to reduce the number of bacteria on the body, but also increases the number of bacteria. Excess oil and stains can clog pores and allow bacteria to proliferate, but normal sebum keeps the skin moisturized, pliable and barrier functioning, and a stable bacterial flora benefits the skin’s barrier function.
Bathing too often can disrupt the skin’s barrier function, making the flora out of whack and causing the skin to become dry, sensitive, and more prone to allergies or infections.
Therefore, except for people who exercise daily, sweat a lot, and are exposed to smoke, dust, and pollution, it is not recommended to bathe once a day.
