What to do if you have an abscess in your eye

An abscess in the eye is an acute purulent lesion. There are two types of abscesses: the first is an external wheal, which can be treated with oral anti-inflammatory medication and levofloxacin ophthalmic gel applied to the abscess, and when the redness and swelling subsides significantly, the abscess is incised and drained at the hospital. The second type is secondary infection of the eyelid swelling, most commonly secondary infection of the epidermoid cyst. You can cut and release the pus at the low level of the abscess after anti-inflammation, scrape the contents with a spatula, flush the abscess cavity with tobramycin, put drainage strips, and flush and change the medication daily until the abscess cavity disappears and heals.
