What are the routine tests for vaginal discharge?

Routine examination of vaginal secretions includes vaginal pH, vaginal cleanliness, and the amount and number of white blood cells, red blood cells, and epithelial cells in the vagina, as well as testing for trichomonas, mycobacteria, and BV infections. For women who have had normal sexual intercourse, it is usually recommended to have a vaginal discharge test once a year. The vaginal discharge test can help to understand the vaginal environment and detect gynecological diseases in time. The normal vaginal cleanliness is I-II. If the vaginal cleanliness is III-IV, the vaginal environment is not good. In addition, if the test is positive for mycobacteria, trichomonas or BV, it also indicates a corresponding vaginal inflammatory infection, so the examination of discharge is more important in gynecology.
