Adenoid hypertrophy can be judged by clinical manifestations, physical examination and auxiliary examination. 1. Clinical manifestations: headache, open-mouth breathing, snoring during sleep, misalignment of teeth, protruding upper incisors, etc., and even a typical adenoid face. 2. Physical examination: the tonsils can be seen to be hypertrophied to different degrees on visual examination, and soft lymphatic tissue mass can be touched on palpation of the posterior wall of the parietal of the nasopharynx. 3. Auxiliary examination: nasopharyngoscopy shows red lumpy protrusions in the nasopharynx, and X-ray or CT of the nasopharynx can be done to help diagnosis. Patients suspected of having enlarged adenoids should actively seek medical treatment and improve relevant examinations to make a clear diagnosis.
