What are the signs of high androgens in an 80 year old man

At 80 years of age, hyperandrogenism may be characterized by hirsutism, acne, increased heart rate, hair loss, and personality changes. In women, as most of them have stopped menstruating, there is usually no menstrual abnormality. In men, there may be hypersexualization such as increased erections, higher energy, and irritability and aggressiveness. In both males and females, high levels of androgens can also lead to hirsutism, resulting in excessive distribution of hair and an increase in pubic hair and body sweat. Acne, similar to puberty, and hair loss can also occur, and is more pronounced in men than in women, who produce more androgens. Other symptoms include increased heart rate, increased number of erections in men, increased beard and armpit hair, higher energy, irritability, aggressiveness, and in some cases, abnormal mental status. High androgens in 80 year olds are seen in polycystic ovary syndrome or adrenal disease, which requires prompt medical attention for examination and treatment.
