Can you drink honeysuckle directly in water?

Honeysuckle can be directly brewed to drink, but the brew may not be able to completely precipitate its active ingredients, and only a single flavor of Chinese medicine, so the efficacy is limited.
Honeysuckle is sweet in flavor and cold in nature. It belongs to the lung, heart and stomach meridians. It can clear away heat and detoxification, and evacuate wind-heat. It is used for carbuncles, boils, laryngeal paralysis (pharynx is red, swollen and painful, or dry, with a foreign body sensation, or pharyngeal itching, discomfort, and difficulty in swallowing), dengtoxin (acute infectious disease, visible skin redness like paint), pyrexia blood dysentery (dysentery caused by feeling heat and poison, with blood in the stools), wind-heat colds and fevers of warm illnesses.
Honeysuckle is usually decocted and used raw to evacuate wind-heat, and fried charcoal is recommended for heat-poisoned dysentery. It is recommended to use the medicine under the guidance of a doctor.
