The cause of polycystic ovary syndrome has not been fully clarified, and there is no best treatment plan. At present, long-term comprehensive symptomatic treatment is the mainstay of clinical practice, which mainly includes lifestyle modification, medication, surgery and assisted reproduction therapy.
1. Lifestyle adjustment: exercise therapy, diet control therapy to reduce weight and improve insulin resistance; behavioral therapy such as smoking cessation, alcohol restriction and psychological adjustment to correct bad habits.
2. Medication: It can be treated by taking progesterone, compound oral contraceptive pills and insulin sensitizer periodically.
3. Surgery: Ovarian wedge resection, ovarian perforation and other surgical methods can be used to destroy androgen-producing ovarian tissues and increase the chances of pregnancy.
4. Assisted Reproductive Therapy (ART): Artificial insemination (AI), in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) and other treatments can be used to help patients conceive.
Please follow the doctor’s instructions for the specific treatment plan, and the patient should actively cooperate with the doctor. The use of the above medications should be in accordance with the doctor’s instructions.
