High blood lipids can be manifested as obesity, xanthomas, and corneal rings. High blood lipid can induce hypertension. 1. Obesity: high blood lipid can lead to weight gain, manifested as obesity. Obese people need to do the test of blood lipid. 2. Yellow tumor: manifested as limited skin elevation, which is caused by localized deposition of fat. The color is yellow, or orange or brownish red, nodular plaque, soft texture, can grow around the eyelids, limbs, buttocks, palm of the hand and so on. 3. Corneal ring: the corneal ring is located at the edge of the cornea in white-yellow or grayish-white, because of the fat deposits around the cornea. Other manifestations of hyperlipidemia include mental and physical deterioration, thickening of Achilles tendon, and so on. Hyperlipidemia can cause increased blood viscosity, which will increase the resistance to blood flow and can induce hypertension. Patients with hyperlipidemia and hypertension should actively seek medical attention and follow standardized treatment under the guidance of a physician’s interview.
