Bumps in the armpit usually require a visit to general surgery or breast surgery. Lumps in the armpit may be lymph nodes sebaceous cysts, lipomas, or even parametrium, among others. After a visit to the surgery, a physical examination should be done first, which can initially determine the nature of the lump, as follows: 1. Sebaceous cysts: usually have black heads or black spots on the surface. 2. Enlarged lymph nodes: usually appear suddenly and some are accompanied by pain. 3. Tumors: lymph node metastases caused by tumors are usually painless and may even have lymph nodes fused into a mass. 4. Parametrium: the lumps they form are usually in the the anterior lower part of the armpit and the outer upper part of the breast. Patients are advised to have an ultrasound examination, which will basically clarify the nature of the lump, and then they can decide on the next step of treatment. If the lesion is caused by inflammation, anti-infection treatment can be considered.
