The baby is still in the monitoring room

Cases in which the child wakes up spontaneously about 2-4 hours after surgery: ① Ventricular septal defect sealing or repair of ventricular septal defect over 6 months. (ii) Atrial septal defect sealing or repair. ③Arterial catheter closure. ④Correction of pulmonary stenosis (mild stenosis). ⑤ Cardiac catheterization. Note: ①Anesthetic drugs will be gradually metabolized after the surgery, the child will gradually wake up, it takes time, the child will wake up, not a coma, the brain is fine. ②If the condition requires the child to continue sleeping, we activate the sedative drugs when the anesthesia is almost finished metabolizing, let him continue sleeping, waking up or not is controllable, we stop the sedative drugs the child will wake up soon. Did you eat it? A tube needs to be inserted in the mouth and connected to a ventilator to help the child breathe when doing surgery. After the ventilator is removed (i.e., the tube is removed) for 4-6 hours, you can drink some water, and if you don’t vomit, you can drink milk and eat. For children who have been on the ventilator for a long time (more than 2 days), we will inject food and medicine through the gastric tube, and feed some sugar water first, and then feed milk when it can be digested. You cannot eat more. After heart surgery, you need to limit the amount of food and infusion. Eating too much will increase the burden on the heart, and you need to calculate the amount of food according to your weight. Crying or not? There is no child in the world who does not cry! We will talk to the child, tell stories, play music, etc. to soothe the child. When it is particularly noisy, we will also use some sedative drugs to help the child reduce the sense of pain and fear, and quiet down is more conducive to the recovery of heart function.
