Did you eat it? A tube needs to be inserted in the mouth and connected to a ventilator to help the child breathe when doing surgery. After the ventilator is removed (i.e., the tube is removed) for 4-6 hours, you can drink some water, and if you don’t vomit, you can drink milk and eat. For children who have been on the ventilator for a long time (more than 2 days), we will inject food and medicine through the gastric tube, and feed some sugar water first, and then feed milk when it can be digested. You cannot eat more. After heart surgery, you need to limit the amount of food and infusion.
