Chinese medicine identification and treatment of eczema

Eczema corresponds to wet sores in Chinese medicine. There are three types of eczema in Chinese medicine: dampness-heat immersion, spleen deficiency and dampness, blood deficiency and wind dryness, and the symptoms include redness, itching, burning and hyperpigmentation of the skin lesions. 1. Damp-heat immersion syndrome: at the beginning, the skin lesions are flushed, burning and swollen, followed by dense blisters, accompanied by heat and thirst, constipation and other symptoms. Treatment: clearing heat and removing dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body) to stop itching. Commonly used formula: gentian diarrhea liver soup combined with dioscorea villosa. 2. Spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome: the main symptom is reddish skin lesions, itching, vesicles after scratching, accompanied with symptoms such as little energy and fatigue (lack of spirit), abdominal distension and loose stools (thin and unformed feces). Treatment: Strengthening the spleen, inducing dampness and relieving itching. Commonly used formula: remove dampness and stomach ling soup. 2. Blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome: the course of the disease is long, and the skin lesions can be seen to have dark color or pigmentation, roughness and hypertrophy, blood crusts and flakes, dizziness and weakness, dry mouth and other symptoms. Treatment: nourish blood and moisturize the skin, remove wind and stop itching (stop itching by removing the wind that invades the surface of the muscle). Commonly used formula: Angelica Drink or Four Substances Anti-Wind Drink. Patients are advised to go to the hospital if they feel unwell and cooperate with the doctor for diagnosis and treatment so as to avoid delaying the condition.
