How should a misaligned shoulder be treated?

If it is the first shoulder dislocation, you should reset the shoulder as soon as possible by manipulation, forearm suspension in front of the chest, or shoulder abduction brace fixation for 3-4 weeks, but there is a possibility of shoulder dislocation developing into habitual dislocation, and the younger you are, the higher the incidence. A normal shoulder joint is like holding a large basketball in your hand. The palm of your hand is equivalent to the medial glenoid of the shoulder joint, and the basketball is equivalent to the lateral humeral head. Under normal circumstances, the hand can hold the basketball very steadily. When the shoulder joint is dislocated for the first time, the humeral head damages the medial structure, contracting the thumb and reducing the area of the palm of the hand, which may make the basketball unstable. When the shoulder joint is dislocated for the first time, if the medial glenoid, glenoid labrum, or bone is defective, which equates to a smaller palm area, the humeral head can easily come out of the glenoid again, which can lead to habitual shoulder dislocation. If the damaged glenoid lip or bone is repaired through surgery, the area and width of the glenoid will be increased so that habitual dislocation will not occur.
