Is your baby physiologically anorexic?

Why is it that a baby of about 3 months old suddenly does not like to eat milk, but can drink some water? First, problems such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting or bad spirits should be ruled out. If the baby does not have these problems, then the reason may be physiological anorexia. The physiological anorexia period is mainly seen in babies due to their 3 to 4 months of age. Preventive measures for physiological anorexia Possible reasons for physiological anorexia 1. Too much milk: Babies less than 3 months old cannot fully absorb the protein in the milk, even when they eat more milk, it will not cause too much protein absorption and will not increase the burden on the liver and kidneys. However, after 3 months of age, babies can absorb more protein from milk, which will increase the workload of the liver and kidneys and cause “fatigue” over time, resulting in a decreased appetite and a lack of interest in eating milk. 2. Inattentiveness to breastfeeding: When babies are 3 to 4 months old, the mobility of the neck muscles is enhanced, and babies are very curious about the external environment, so a small change in the surroundings will divert his attention and make him stop concentrating on breastfeeding. But after 3 months of age, most babies start to stop eating milk in one go, but stop eating and sometimes chirping and cooing. Some inquisitive babies even stop suckling whenever there are noises or people walking around. This is a temporary decrease in milk production, which usually returns naturally after a month or so. Countermeasures 1. For this kind of babies, you can dilute the milk or feed them when they seem to be sleeping. If the baby has less milk temporarily, there is usually no problem as long as the baby drinks enough water. After 10 days, when the liver and kidneys are fully rested and their functions are restored, the baby will like to eat milk again. 2.Create an ideal feeding environment: The most basic thing is to observe under what circumstances your baby eats most ideally and then go on to create a most appropriate feeding environment. Most babies are more likely to concentrate on breastfeeding in a quiet place where they will not be disturbed. Parents must stay relaxed and happy: babies are sensitive to the tense emotions of the feeder, and this will affect their appetite. 4.Give your baby love and encouragement at the right time, so that your baby will be in a good mood to eat. 5, try complementary food: 4 to 6 months old baby can already contact the complementary food, the mother can add the right amount of lay food to help baby nutrition, and use it to train his ability to eat complementary food.
