The triple concave sign is a physical sign that refers to the simultaneous concavity of the three locations of the suprasternal fossa, supraclavicular fossa, and intercostal space. It is usually indicative of inspiratory dyspnea, which is caused by certain disease factors and foreign bodies in the airway that prevent airflow from entering the lungs smoothly, contraction of the respiratory muscles during inspiration, and an extreme increase in negative intrathoracic pressure. 1. Suprasternal fossa: It is a depression directly above the sternal stalk and directly below the laryngeal node, consisting of two clavicles and the sternal stalk, with the trachea behind it. 2. The gap between the ribs is called the rib gap, and when a normal person bends sideways, there is a clear line of ribs on the flexed side, and the middle concave part is the rib gap. The trismus sign is usually caused by pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung cancer and other lesions, resulting in spasm and narrowing of the airway. In the acute stage, treatment requires oxygen and airway antispasmodics to relieve airway spasm, followed by active treatment of the primary disease, and the truncus can be relieved or disappear. For some patients with infectious airway diseases, there is often sputum in the mouth, which is prone to choking and coughing and can easily trigger the truncal sign, so it is necessary to cough up the sputum in time or family members assist in back patting and other measures to help them expel the sputum. Patients with underlying diseases that may trigger trismus should strictly follow medical advice for treatment and avoid the risk of triggering airway spasm in daily life, such as avoiding allergens in asthma patients. The trigeminal signs caused by foreign bodies in the airway mostly occur during the process of eating, and the appearance of trigeminal signs indicates that the situation is more critical. It is recommended not to rush during daily feeding to avoid food particles being accidentally sucked into the trachea, causing airway blockage and trigeminal signs. Adults should take care of children when they are eating, because they are not familiar with eating skills, so foreign bodies may often block the airway.
