Lymph nodes are very important immune organs in the body and are distributed throughout the body from the outside to the inside, and different areas of the body are governed by different lymph nodes. Therefore, an enlarged lymph node in a certain area can be used to indicate a lesion occurring in the area of the body under its jurisdiction. Normally, lymph nodes are relatively small, with a diameter of no more than 0.5 cm, and they do not cause significant pain. When there is a significant enlargement of lymph nodes, whether or not it is accompanied by pain, it indicates that some pathology is occurring in the body. If the lymph nodes are enlarged, but are more mobile and also have pain, it is mainly seen in benign diseases, such as various infections, while when the lymph nodes are enlarged without pain and are less mobile, it is more common in malignant diseases.
