What’s wrong with seeing white in glaucoma?

Glaucoma patients who see things white may be caused by elevated intraocular pressure or corneal edema, or it may be caused by cataract secondary to glaucoma.
1. Elevated intraocular pressure: When the intraocular pressure of glaucoma patients is elevated, it can compress the optic nerve and blood vessels at the bottom of the eye, thus leading to a sudden decrease in the patient’s visual acuity, and at this time, the patient may feel that he/she sees things in white because of the blurred vision.
2. Corneal edema: elevated intraocular pressure can cause corneal edema, cornea from transparent to foggy turbidity, patients will look at things like a layer of white veil in front of their eyes, thus appearing to see things white performance.
3. Secondary cataract: Glaucoma patients due to atrial fluid circulation obstacles, resulting in secondary cataract, so that the original transparent crystal appears cloudy, patients may appear to see things white.
It is recommended that glaucoma patients should consult a doctor in time to assess their condition and take treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
