Is foamy urine a UTI?

Frothy urine is not necessarily uremia. It is divided into physiological factors and pathological factors. Physiological factors include drinking less water, higher bladder pressure, etc. Pathological factors include nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis and uremia.
1. Physiological factors: patients drink less water or have higher bladder pressure. The former is due to the concentration of urine, and the latter is due to the rapid impact of urination, which can lead to the formation of urine foam.
2. Pathologic factors: seen in nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, uremia and so on. Nephrotic syndrome to a large amount of proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, edema and hyperlipidemia as the main manifestations; nephritis to proteinuria, hematuria, edema and hypertension as the main manifestations; uremia patients can also appear proteinuria and so on. Proteinuria can be manifested as foamy urine.
Urine foam is not necessarily uremia, increased urine foam need to go to the hospital in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional physician to improve the examination, to clarify the cause of the disease, timely treatment.
