Is straight back syndrome dangerous?

Straight back syndrome has certain hazards, mainly because it will cause pressure on the heart and large blood vessels, affecting the blood flow condition, and even accompanied by some malformations.

Straight back syndrome mainly refers to congenital spinal deformities, resulting in the loss of the physiological curvature of the thoracic spine, which further narrows the anterior and posterior diameters of the thoracic contour, resulting in the compression of the aorta and the right ventricular outflow tract, which causes a slowing down of the blood flow rate, resulting in symptoms such as tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, palpitations (accelerated heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), and mitral valve prolapse, which is accompanied by abnormalities in the physical conditions of some groups of the population.

The immediate danger caused by straight back syndrome is abnormal heart function, with obvious accompanying deformities, requiring medical observation and, if necessary, surgical treatment, which needs to be standardized under the guidance of a clinician.
