How many days does viral herpes take to heal itself?

Viral herpes is a self-limiting disease and the time to heal is mainly related to the specific type of herpes and cannot be generalized. Viral herpes is caused by viral infections, commonly herpes simplex caused by herpes simplex virus, genital herpes, and herpes zoster caused by varicella-zoster virus infection. Herpes simplex is usually referred to as herpes simplex, which occurs in the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, lips and nasal cavity, and is mainly characterized by erythema, clusters of small blisters, slight itching, pain and discomfort, and a history of upper respiratory tract infection, overexertion and other triggers before the onset of the disease. In the case of genital herpes, it usually heals itself in about 7-10 days; in the case of herpes zoster, it takes relatively longer, usually 2-3 weeks to heal itself. In addition, viral herpes is prone to recurrence, and patients are advised to enhance their nutrition, strengthen their body and improve their immunity, which can effectively reduce the recurrence rate.
