The main manifestations of schizophrenia patients are hallucinations and delusions in terms of perceptual disorders, and disorders of thought and thought association in terms of disorders of thought and speech. Patients mainly exhibit off-topic or incoherent thinking, always jumping from one topic to another without any connection, and conversations are less verbal and more monotonous. In terms of affective disorders, patients mainly present with emotional indifference. The main manifestation in terms of volitional and behavioral disorders is a marked disturbance or abnormality in motor behavior. Patients with schizophrenia also exhibit negative symptoms. The negative symptoms are mainly a decrease in the patient’s emotional expressions, which include mainly facial expressions as well as reduced eye contact, speech intonation, lack of interest in participating in work or social activities, and lack of pleasure. In addition, patients with schizophrenia may also exhibit prodromal symptoms at the onset of the disorder, with patients experiencing emotional instability, poor concentration, and memory loss in the early stages.
