Should children be checked for adenoids if they don’t open their mouths when they sleep?

Children who do not sleep with their mouths open are usually normal and do not need to be checked for adenoids. If the adenoids are enlarged, it may cause the child to sleep with his mouth open and need to check the adenoids.
1. A child who sleeps without opening his mouth means that his airway is open and he can breathe through his nose without breathing through his mouth. This is a normal physiological phenomenon.
2. Adenoid hypertrophy, common in children, such as tonsillitis caused by adenoid hypertrophy and hyperplasia, will cause the child to appear nasal passages, shortness of breath, sleep snoring, breath holding and other symptoms, if these symptoms, it is recommended that the child to do adenoid body examination.
