The staging of myeloma includes the traditional Durie-Salmon (DS) staging system, the International Staging System (ISS) and the Revised International Staging System (R-ISS), and it is divided into stages I, II and III. The following mainly introduces the staging criteria of DS staging system. 1. Stage I: all of the following conditions are met: 1) hemoglobin >100g/L; 2) serum calcium ≤2.65mmol/L; 3) X-ray shows normal bone structure or bone-type isolated plasmacytoma; 4) low serum or urinary myeloma protein production rate: 1) IgG <50g/L; 2) IgA <30g/L; 3) weekly protein <4g/24h. 2. Stage II: all patients who do not meet stage I and II. 3. Stage III: meet one or more of the following conditions: (1) hemoglobin <85g/L; (2) serum calcium >2.65mmol/L; (3) more than 3 osteolytic lesions in skeletal examination; (4) high serum or urinary myeloma protein production rate: 1) IgG >70g/L; 2) IgA >50g/L; 3) protein of the week >12g/24h.
